General Information
What does a jet boat ride involve?
A jet boat ride is a high speed adventure on the water featuring 360 & 180 spins at speed, power stops and splashes. It’s an exciting way to experience the Pioneer River, our unique jet boat means you’ll also get VERY WET!
How much time will I need?
The jet boat ride is 30 mins of thrills and scenery. We meet our guests 20 mins prior to the ride time to check in, run through the short safety briefing, securing your personal items and seat you on the boat. Allow approx. 1 hr.
Where do the rides depart from?
We depart from the River Street Pontoon at the Bluewater Quay. We meet for check in and briefings at Red Dog Brewery at 10D River Street. Directions are provided in the link in the footer and your confirmation email.
What should I wear?
We suggest comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. You can leave your shoes on the dock if you prefer. You’re welcome to bring a towel that can be left with our crew to dry off.
Will I get wet?
Absolutely! We’ve never had a ride that didn’t result in every passenger getting completely drenched so be prepared for some serious fun on the water!
Safety & Restrictions
Is there a minimum age or height requirement?
Yes, riders must be a minimum age of 6 and a minimum height of 120cm tall to participate. Children must have parental permission and a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian.
Is there a maximum age limit?
Absolutely not, we find our senior guests have the time of their lives, with many lining up for another ride! As long as you have none of the medical conditions, you’re most welcome to join us!
Is it safe?
Absolutely! Our boat is specifically designed to perform the manoeuvres we do, ensuring our passengers safety. Our boat is operated by professional. fully licenced skippers with a great deal of experience and training in handling high speed manoeuvres. We have seat belts in every seat to ensure all our guests are completely safe.
Are there any medical restrictions?
Yes, if you have back, neck or heart conditions, are pregnant or have had recent surgeries, it is not recommended you participate.
Do I need to wear a life jacket?
All passengers are required to wear an inflatable life jacket. Every seat has a seat belt fitted ensuring you’re completely safe through-out your ride.
Can I bring my camera or phone?
You can however we advise against it as they will get wet but could be lost during the ride. We recommend leaving valuables at home but a small amount of personal items can be left with our crew on the dock.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we recommend booking ahead of time to secure your spot, especially during peak times.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations with less than 7 days notice, incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are non-refundable.
Should we have to cancel for any reason, you’ll be able to reschedule or get a full refund.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, if space is available. However, we recommend booking ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
What payment methods do you accept?
Our online and phone bookings are processed through our booking platform with secure card payments through Square. We can accept cash for walk-ins but please note, we don’t carry any change.

What happens if the weather is bad?
We operate is most conditions, but if it’s raining, the weather conditions are unsafe or there is debris in the river, we will reschedule or fully refund your ride.
Are rides affected by tides?
Some variations between rides may occur, but our experienced skippers are extremely familiar with the Pioneer River, it’s depths and various conditions and will ensure a thrilling ride regardless of tidal heights.
We tend to cease operations a couple of hours either side of the low tide.
Can I book a private group or event?
You sure can! We offer private rides for birthdays, corporate events, proposals with a difference and special occasions. Check out our private booking options with the button below.
Are there lockers or storage available?
We provided limited storage with our crew on the dock but we recommend leaving valuables and large and bulky items at home.
